Susan's Daily Tips

Alberto's Leprechaun Mor-Jito
(Mojito Cocktail)
Green Mojito

Morton's The Steakhouse in Seattle serves this St Patrick's Day drink straight up with green crème de menthe, and for a garnish a mint leaf. It's kind of like a martini/mojito/leprechaun.

ALBERTO'S LEPRECHAUN MOR-JITO

2 oz. Bacardi light rum
Several mint leaves
Juice from two limes
Two splashes soda water
2 tablespoons sugar, plus extra for garnish
Dash green crème de menthe

Marinate mint in rum and lime juice in a pint glass for 30 seconds.

Dip rim of cocktail glass in crème de menthe, then dip in extra sugar.

Fill pint glass with ice, add soda water, sugar and crème de menthe. Shake.

Strain into cocktail glass, garnish with mint leaf.
