World Famous Waffles
Corey, from Knoxville, TN remembers her favorite childhood food memory... My brother, sister and I would wake up to the smell of waffles cooking on the waffle iron....We would jump out of bed and get to the table as soon as we could. My mom would use buttermilk in these waffles and they were the best I have ever had! I have tweeked the recipe, and now my kids run to the table when they smell waffles. Thanks Corey, for such a cute story, and sharing your familys' World Famous Waffles. Can't wait to make them... or better yet smell them being made for me.. from the kitchen!!

World Famous Waffles
Ingredients:
1 3/4 cup flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 TBSP sugar
1 egg
1 stick butter
1 1/2 cups milk
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
Directions:
Melt butter and mix all ingredients together. Cook batter on a waffle iron until done. There is a thin line between steam and smoke.
